Count It All... JOY

Happy Word Filled Wednesday!  Today, find something to rejoice in... something good God has done for you.  No matter how small, there is always something to thank God for!  Making a list of God's goodness to you is a great way to learn to be more thankful... and to help you to realize just how blessed you are!

I am blessed to be able to join my friend, Angel, in her weekly meme, Why I Count It All Joy.  Here are just a few of the reasons I count it all joy!

So here is my list of just SOME of my reasons to count it all joy:

My precious little dog is doing much better after not feeling well lately.  It always makes me sad when one of my babies isn't feeling well, so I am very happy that he's better!  :)

God has given me some of the neatest friends through blogging! I'm so blessed!

I had a very helpful cashier at my local drugstore the other day, and seeing that I like to shop for deals, he started giving me tips to other deals!! (Four free rolls of paper towels and almost-free candybars! LOL) After having to deal with miserable employees at this store for the longest time, it is such a blessing to finally have nice ones!

I just received my very first product to review and give away on my blog... and it is an awesome product! I can't wait to share it with you. (Coming soon...)

I watched some testimonies today that really blessed and encouraged me. I will share them with you all as soon as I have enough to make it a regular blog feature!! :) I love hearing stories of God's faithfulness and people who trusted Him enough to see what awesome things He wanted to do in their lives!

And last, but not least, I count it all joy because of the hope that God gives each one of us. I love the fact that there is hope in every situation and in every problem. I love the fact that God is available for us to seek and call upon Him. As I said in my Word Filled Wednesday last week... "We are as close to God as we want to be." And we can be so much closer if we simply make Him a priority and seek Him. There is so much hope in that! And that's a perfect reason to count it all joy!! :)

What has God done for you lately? Join us as we count it all joy!

I would also like to invite you all to join me on Monday as we share "Something Beautiful"!  I would love to see you then!

  3. This is the second time I've seen this Scripture today... Joy is an amazing gift in this fruit! God gives us this fruit to help us become Christ-like. This word - His Word - Joy helps me to remember that even in the bad, troubled, lonely, depressing times I can still count it all JOY because of Him who saved me and is building stairs to help me climb out of the pit of depression.

Thanks so much for sharing WFW and Count it all Joy Wednesday!
    Hugs & Prayers, HL

  10. From June 2003 to July 2005, my husband was out of work. He did some odd jobs to bring in a bit of money, but it was 25 months before he got a full-time job in his field. Early in that long period, God prompted me to begin a thanks journal. I didn't think I had anything to be thankful for, as times were so bleak, but in obedience to his prompting, I started doing that.

At first, desperately trying to find something to be thankful for, I thanked Him for the ability to see, to hear, to walk, etc. Those were my first entries. But as I began giving thanks, it became easier, and before long, I was actually thanking God FOR our negative circumstances, because through them we were seeing His provision in ways we never had before. So, not only was I giving thanks IN my bleak circumstances, but FOR them as well. God had given me a new perspective...and it all began through giving thanks.

A thankful heart is definitely something we all need to cultivate.

    Have a lovely day,
    Patti
